Will you tell me something you like or enjoy or find delightful or appealing about me, friends? I'm leaving this post public/un-IP-tracked, so you can go anonymous if you like. Inappropriate is fine. Appropriate is fine. Small, big, anything.

Your bad joke husky face. Your delight in unusual hamentashen fillings. That you didn't get sucked into Biglaw against your will by peer pressure like so many people I know. The dark humor you developed about some really tough cases at work. Your love of Gillian Anderson and other awesome female characters in sci fi shows. Your read aloud of The Latke Who Wouldn't Stop Screaming. The way you welcome your nieces and nephews and friends' kids into your life so wholeheartedly. How much you love tea.

THE BAD JOKE HUSKY FACE! That's exactly what it is and it is PERF. (Also, all the bad jokes. <3)

I can't take credit for making the connection - they talked about it on the podcast in an episode I listened to a few days ago. But I agree, it's exactly right.

Your joy over the cheesecake you brought to [ profile] omly's house. All food should be celebrated thus!

You have a gentle spirit. Some day we'll get to hang out and I'll find out if that's just a cover for mischief. :D

Your whimsy. Your moral compass. Your fabulous curls. Your compassion. Your dark humor and your light humor, in fact, all of your humors, even when you pout (which is awesome in the PMRP shows). Your willingness to show up, whether it's at a show, rehearsals, or in life. Your kindness. Your shyness and your outgoing parts when you feel comfortable.

I love that you can come off as a serious Grown Up, but you have an amazing goofy side that you're not afraid to share. And you have a great contagious smile.

I have always enjoyed your coquettish smile. It's like a little treasure in the middle of a conversation with you.

Also, the one time you and I went out, you called me a "bad rabbit", which si tickled me that I went home and changed the name on my LJ user info page.

I imagine this may be cold comfort at the moment, but you do the "having an air of having your shit together" thing *really* well, to the point that I was intimidated by you when I first met you. In a good way. I still think you're very smart and competent, I just am less likely to be intimidated once I get to know someone.

Your ability to words is awe inspiring.

Off the top of my head: your curly hair; your passion for things you care about, whether important or trivial; your take-no-shit face; your laugh; your sense of style; your tenacity in the face of a challenge; your willingness to think about things that are terrifying; your cleverness with words...

I've been thinking about a lot of things to say, but have decided to settle on these:

The fact that you worked so hard on so many terrible cases, where you may have been the only person to fight for those victims, made you a goddamn hero in my eyes. Whenever I would hear someone rag on lawyers, I would always think "they've never met you".

Your talent never ceases to amaze me. You're always revealing new ones (or trying your hand at something new and succeeding wildly). I'd enumerate the ones I really admire, but that would pretty much make anonymity pointless. :)

Your looks. You are absolutely one of the most beautiful women I've ever met.

Not so much a point to like (but not really a negative, either) is how intimidating I've always found you because of the above. As someone with a self-esteem problem, your strength and self-assuredness have made me a little afraid to interact with you at times. This is entirely my problem. It's not about you, which is why I say it's not a negative. I still think you're a wonderful person and I admire you greatly.

Your wit. All the intricate ways you tend to your life. Your "I just perpetrated something" laugh. Your fashion sense. Your keen aptitude for in-jokes. Literally every time you cock your head and say "THAT'S INTERESTING" in all caps. Your taste in music. The fact that you nearly always explode your fist-bumps. The conversations you have with inanimate objects, especially food. Despite its propensity for making me clutch my chest in sheer terror: your love of danger. The number of photographs you take of small things, like flowers (I do that too). Your capacity for joy.

I love you a lot, friend! <33333

I think you're pretty. You have great eyes, I like your hair, and, frankly, I think you're hot.

I'll follow up with a nonymous email, as I've been meaning to for two weeks.

That is, if I still have a good email address for you ... What I do have includes @post in it.

So many things. You are honest, to a fault. Loving and generous of your time and spirit. Committed to doing the right thing, in work and in personal life.

Loving and compassionate to those in your life. Super smart and I want to play scrabble with you.

And most notably, super hot. 'Cause I am that shallow!
